"Any reader who does not have a conservatory, but who is tempted to buy one, might consider the alternative benefits of a “sunroom” or “garden room”, with glazed walls and a solid insulated roof. The reason this form of construction is not promoted by the conservatory industry is because it requires Building Control approval, but I would say that is a small price to pay for a comfortable, habitable room, rather than one that you can only use for two hours per day."
